What We Believe

• We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired, infallible, the essential and only rule of faith and life.
• We believe in God, eternally existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
• We believe that God created the universe and all that is in it, and that it was good when He did so.
• We believe that man sinned and brought upon himself the penalty of death and upon the world the state of sin and brokenness we find today.
• We believe that God chose the Jews of the Old Testament to be the bearers of His message of forgiveness, and to be the people through whom a Savior would come.
• We believe that Jesus Christ was that Savior, the Son of God, fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, without sin, perfectly revealing the Father, calling humanity to repentance, forgiveness and relationship with God.
• We believe that He died on the cross for the forgiveness of sins, and that he rose bodily from the dead, fully victorious over sin and death.
• We believe that through him, we can have forgiveness of our sins and a relationship with God. Because Jesus Christ is the only Son of God, we believe that forgiveness and restoration is found only in him.
• We believe that He will return to the earth visibly and in awesome power to bring history as we know it to an end.
• We believe that the Holy Spirit empowers believers in Jesus to know God, to live an effective, godly life, and to minister powerfully to a hurting world.
• We believe in the proper exercise of all the biblical gifts of the Holy Spirit.
• We believe in the reality of an unseen world - angels, demons, Satan.
• We believe that God's plan for the ages is particularly found in his plan for the church and that the ordinary means of growth and ministry for believers is the local church
